Responsibilities

• As a Full-Time Physical Therapist at FirstHealth of the Carolinas, you will:
• Evaluate, Develop, and Implement Treatment Plans : Create individualized plans for patients with orthopedic issues and those experiencing generalized weakness or balance problems.
• Provide Hands-On Therapy : Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions using a variety of techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Document Patient Progress : Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Providers : Work closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Work with a Multidisciplinary Team : Join a large team of experienced Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs).
• Educate Patients and Families : Provide education on conditions, rehabilitation, and the importance of ongoing self-care.
• Maintain a Safe Environment : Ensure a supportive and safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Engage in Professional Development : Participate in workshops, conferences, and team meetings to stay current with best practices and continue your professional growth.
• Pursue Continuing Education : Show interest in continuing education to develop specialty programs and contribute to program development.
• Mentor Clinical Students : Take on the mentorship of clinical students to help shape the future of the profession.

Qualifications

• Educational Background : Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Licensure : A current Physical Therapist license in North Carolina.
• Certification : CPR/BLS certification is required.
