Job Summary

Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health, Night Shift, 36 hours/week, starting October 26, 2026. This role involves managing and coordinating nursing care for clients aged 18 and older in a behavioral health setting, ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care. The RN will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes and uphold organizational standards.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current Illinois license; B.S.N. preferred or equivalent years of experience; BLS certification required; minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include organizing and directing nursing care, implementing physicians’ orders, administering medications, and documenting care accurately.
• Ensures compliance with infection control and safety policies, provides emergency care as needed, and participates in staff orientation and training initiatives.
• Participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning, conducts group therapies, and evaluates patient progress.
• Maintains confidentiality, privacy, safety, and security of all clients and supports a positive and safe environment for staff and patients.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for 4-6 hours, bend, stoop, and walk, with good body mechanics to prevent injury.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
• Active participation in department meetings, training, and process improvement activities.
• Promotes harmonious team relationships and supports the organization’s mission and philosophy.
