Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,653 a week in all, a taxable rate of $34.65 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the NUC specialty - located in the Michigan area. This role involves performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging, ensuring high-quality images, and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine; Registered in Nuclear Medicine with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); 2 years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Performs diagnostic studies including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas to obtain diagnostic information.
• Operates and maintains all assigned nuclear imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses concerns to ensure patient comfort.
• Properly identifies, prepares, and/or administers medications/substances within the technologist’s scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Completes quality assurance processes and adheres to radiation safety protocols to reduce exposure.
• Maintains all required documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records both in paper and electronic formats.
• Performs routine maintenance and checks on imaging equipment following established protocols.
• Assists with other radiology areas as assigned.
• Submission requirements include verification of licenses, certifications, and skills checklist completed within the past year.
