This travel Occupational Therapist job in Pendleton, OR with Advantis Medical is a 13-week travel Occupational Therapist contract at CHI St. Anthony Hospital - Pendleton. This role pays $2,173 per week and follows a Days shift with a 5x8 schedule.

In this travel Occupational Therapist job, you will support patient care through specialty-specific clinical services, perform assessments and treatments within your scope of practice, document patient progress, operate relevant medical equipment, and collaborate with physicians and the broader care team to help deliver quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional, cognitive, and daily-living needs and establish individualized treatment plans and goals
• Deliver occupation-based interventions that rebuild independence in self-care, home, and daily activities
• Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment, energy-conservation techniques, and home and activity modifications
• Reassess progress and adjust each plan of care as patients advance, directing and collaborating with Occupational Therapy Assistants and the interdisciplinary team

CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton is an acute care hospital within CommonSpirit Health. Its rehabilitation services include an outpatient therapy center housed with the Roundup Athletic Club.

• The outpatient center provides physical, occupational and speech therapy for needs that include sports and work injuries, arthritis and communication or swallowing difficulties.
• Physical therapy addresses neck, back, shoulder and leg pain, along with gait and balance problems. Treatment options include manual therapy and individualized exercise.
• Occupational therapy includes care for shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand dysfunction, with splinting available for the upper extremity.
• The hospital provides emergency care around the clock, surgical services and a cancer clinic offering chemotherapy, diagnostic services and treatment consultations.
• Respiratory services support hospitalized and emergency patients with breathing treatments, oxygen, ventilator management and noninvasive ventilation. Outpatient testing includes pulmonary function studies and cardiac stress testing.
