About the job

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Advanced Nurse Practice (APN) position is to be a skilled health care provider who has a written collaborative practice agreement with the Physicians in the Orthopaedic Clinic and is credentialed through the Medical Staff Office. The APN is self-directed and purposeful in seeking the necessary knowledge and skills to develop and maintain competency. The SAPN:* Exemplifies patient/centered care principles in interaction with staff, patients and hospital personnel.* Convenes frequently with the orthopaedic team to discuss expectations, patient management and other service related functions and needs.* Displays professionalism through affording the appropriate time needed to complete duties associated with the position.
