• Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
• The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET , and Texas 10-Step facility, has previously been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and is a Maternal Level IV designated facility
• Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements.

Women’s & Infants’ Services Department highlights

• Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
• Will float to Labor & Delivery (LDR), Mother/Baby (couplet care), Neonatal ICU (NICU) and Antepartum
• 18-bed LDR's, 5-bay OB/ED, 3 OR suites
• Average 275 + deliveries per month
• Wide range of patients and plan of care – water births, nitrous oxide, Midwifery and high-risk patients .
• 63-bed Level III NICU – low-risk NICU patients
• 27-bed Mother/Baby, couplet care unit

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
• BSN is preferred
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
• One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.
• 18 months or more of Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) and Postpartum (Mother/baby, couplet care) setting or Float Pool/Resource RN experience strongly preferred
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
• NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days required.

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
