What to expect as an Nurse Practitioner

Job Details

• The NP is responsible for the delivery of quality primary care.
• He/She examines and treats chronic and acute episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries/illnesses.
• Experienced and supportive clinical team
• Performs selected laboratory testing, referrals to physicians as needed.
• Writes prescriptions, and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise and protocols.
• Works with the Medical Director in the care and treatment of patients and under the medical direction of a collaborative practice

Requirements

• Maters Degree
• Licensure required for job: State of Missouri nursing license and current CPR certification. ACLS or PALS certification. Certification as a FNP/PNP through an approved Nursing Organization.
