Located on the Torrey Pines Mesa near I-5 and Genesee Avenue in La Jolla, Scripps Green Hospital has served the greater San Diego community since 1977. We provide some of the region’s best care, including several nationally ranked specialty programs.

Scripps Green Hospital is attached to Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines. Together we offer dozens of medical and surgical services, including cancer care, orthopedic surgery and organ transplantation.

This is a benefit-eligible, full-time position (72 hours every two weeks), working 12-hour Day shifts.

Join Scripps Green as Registered Nurse - RN in Surgical Acute and feel the pride working for our patient-focused culture. Surgical Acute is a 34 bed, all-private room unit, providing care for a variety of complex post-surgical patients. With a 5:1 nurse to patient ratio, the care team consists of Patient Care Assistants and RNs committed to providing exceptional patient care.

As Registered Nurse in Surgical Acute, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under your supervision and works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications - External

Required Experience/Specialized Skills

• 1 year RN experience.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Required Certification/Registration

• Current CA RN License
• Current AHA BLS

Required Education/Course(s)/Training

• One-year inpatient surgical experience.
• Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Position Pay Range: $59.16-$85.68/hour
