At Leaves Personal Care , we honor God by serving people with personalized care. Our mission is to provide dignity, comfort, and independence to those we serve. We work throughout West Michigan , including Ada, Caledonia, Hudsonville, Kentwood, Grand Rapids, Grandville, and beyond.
Our team provides personal care, companionship, homemaking, and specialized services like dementia and end-of-life care. But most importantly, we foster strong relationships with our clients and our caregivers.
Weekend Shift Details
- Part-time weekend shifts
- Typically Saturday and/or Sunday between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (shift hours may vary slightly depending on client needs)
What You’ll Do
- Provide personal care according to the client’s care plan, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and helping with transfers as needed
- Provide medication reminders and support daily routines
- Prepare simple, healthy meals
- Perform light housekeeping such as dishes, laundry, and tidying up
- Provide transportation to appointments and assist with miscellaneous errands
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Communicate any changes or concerns to the office or family
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Weekend availability
- Prior caregiving experience preferred (personal or professional)
- Current driver’s license, insurance, and good driving record
- Reliable, strong communication skills, patience, and a caring attitude.
- Physical ability to assist with lifting and transferring clients as needed.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work independently and in cooperation with others
- Ability to work with physically or mentally impaired clients, possibly having a form of dementia or Alzheimer’s
- Must pass background check
