Under general direction, position is responsible for performing clinical testing of clients in accordance with departmental standards to ensure that quality results are obtained.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of Respiratory Care
Working knowledge of polysomnography
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
BLS
Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy
One of the following
- Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
One of the following
- American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM)
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS)
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS)
- Board of Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in allied health
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
ACLS
