About the job
Founded in 1991, IBJI is the largest orthopedic group practice in Illinois. With more than 150 physicians in every orthopedic specialty, IBJI offers care for adults and children from some of the most accomplished and respected orthopedists in the country. Serving northern Illinois and northwest Indiana with over 100 locations, IBJI makes it easy to access care. Our headquarters is in Park Ridge, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. Our clinical services include advanced MRI imaging, pain management, non-surgical and surgical treatment plans, rheumatology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wellness, and sports and sports training. Ortho Access walk-in clinics provide same day care for orthopedic injuries. Comprehensive care offered all in one place enables physicians, therapists and staff to work closely together, so that patients and families achieve better outcomes. Collaborative care is also more efficient. In many cases, IBJI services are substantially less expensive than those provided by large healthcare systems and emergency rooms.
We are looking for a full-time Clinical Athletic Trainer to join our team at the Chicago Park Ridge, Glenview and Morton Grove locations. In this role, you will work directly with our board-certified orthopedic surgery and sports medicine physician, who holds fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery.
Summary
The Clinical Athletic Trainer is an integral part of a fast-paced orthopedic practice that must excel in IBJI’s core values of patient-centric care, musculoskeletal care, and teamwork. This position serves as a clinical liaison between patients, physicians, advance practice providers, rehabilitation professionals, and support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality musculoskeletal care throughout the continuum of care.
The Clinical Athletic Trainer functions within the scope of practice established by the Board of Certification (BOC), state athletic training licensure regulations, organizational policies, and physician-delegated responsibilities. Responsibilities include patient assessment, clinical documentation, care coordination, patient education, procedural assistance, and diagnostic test facilitation. The Clinical Athletic Trainer promotes excellence in patient care while supporting clinical efficiency, quality initiatives, education, and research activities.
