About the job
The Laboratory Secretary is responsible to the Laboratory Manager for performing secretarial skills as needed as well as efficient operation of the laboratory desk and reception area. The individual will be responsible for answering the telephone, directing calls, sending reports, ensuring call logs are complete, assisting with employee time and attendance, as well as, typing and sending of memos and minutes of meetings.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure
- High school diploma
- Associate degree preferred with emphasis on medical secretary OR
- A minimum of one year’s experience working in the medical field OR
- Any similar combination of education and experience in the medical field.
