Job Summary

Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility setting is responsible for providing surgical patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role involves collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes during various procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications; 2+ years of experience in Cerner electronic medical record system; experience with General, Urology, Spine, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Breast, Robotics service lines; Fingerprinting clearance prior to start; no minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with call, holiday coverage; 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include ensuring the availability of supplies, maintaining timeliness of cases, communicating with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing, assisting during surgical cases, and supervising personnel involved in patient care.
• The role requires the ability to float between campuses as needed.
• Candidates must have experience with Cerner EMR system.
