Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,207 a week in all, a taxable rate of $26.10 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse in a healthcare facility located in the area is responsible for providing specialized critical care to patients with complex medical needs. • Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association); Minimum Experience Required: 1 year(s); Location: Area; Shift: Nights; Shift Hours: 12; Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.
• Responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as CHF, Pneumonia, COPD, Sepsis, DKA, and assisting with procedures like central line insertions, thoracentesis, and paracentesis performed by providers.
• Must be capable of titrating common drips including Cardizem, insulin, and norepinephrine.
• Float: CAH hospital so need to be able to float to the MedSurg Peds side. Rarely float to other departments but cross-training in behavioral health and Emergency Department is possible upon request.
• Shifts & Scheduling: 12-hour night shifts starting at 7:00 PM, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break. Schedules are cyclic over 6 weeks with some flexibility on weekend and holiday requirements.
• Additional Notes: Must be aware of unit-specific quality initiatives and security protocols related to medication drawer access.
• Charting System: MEDITECH.
