ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (Night Shift) in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 36-hour guarantee. On-call required with a 1-hour response time. Weekend coverage is also required with varied schedules.

Job Description

The Surgical Department at McLaren Macomb is devoted to delivering superior patient care through advanced surgical techniques. As a part of the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will play a critical role in the recovery of patients after surgery. Your focus will be on monitoring and supporting patients as they transition from anesthesia to recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during recovery from anesthesia.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and manage post-operative pain management strategies.
  • Provide thorough documentation of patient care and recovery progress.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams and provide updates on patient status.
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is required.

Certifications/Licensure

  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in Michigan.
