Schedule/Shift

Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with floating required every third weekend.

Job Description

This position is for a fast-paced rural Emergency Department with 23 beds, where the nurse will handle a patient ratio potentially reaching 4 or 5:1. The role involves providing critical care in emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for emergency patients.
• Operate efficiently within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
• Document patient care using the Cerner EMR system.
• Participate in de-escalation training as needed.

Required Experience

1-2 years of experience in the Emergency Department is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN licensure in Indiana.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Completion of de-escalation training is required.
