Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner - Morristown, NJ Urgent Care

*** Mon - Sun 10am-10pm. 3x12's. Must be available to work every other weekend ***

Position : Family Nurse Practitioner

Reports to : Medical Director (as assigned)

Summary : Urgent Care Physicians of New Jersey LLC provides urgent care to those in need for Atlantic Health Urgent Care. We are seeking Family Nurse Practitioners for Urgent Care centers situated throughout New Jersey, particularly, Morristown NJ. Two (2) years' experience in urgent care is required due to acuity. Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations and the counseling of patients towards compliance with treatment
• Order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret results accordingly
• Perform therapeutic procedures such as incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, infection management and wound care
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
• Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and, moreover, deliver continuity of care (including referral of patients to specialists and to other relevant patient care components, as medically necessary and appropriate)
• Regularly communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information
• Willing to travel to other sites as needed, willing to travel in inclement weather
• Willing to participate in On-Call

Requirements

• License (unrestricted and in good standing) in the State of New Jersey
• Controlled dangerous substance registration with the State of New Jersey
• Registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration of the U.S. Department of Justice
• DOT certified within first 6 months of employment
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
